Almost a day old!

Hi Family and Friends,

It's me, Emma!  Mommy and daddy are napping so I took daddy's laptop, cracked his password, and thought I'd update you on my first day ever!

And boy was it a busy one...mommy and daddy insisted on waking me up every three hours last night to eat, even though I was perfectly content to sleep.  So I'm a little tuckered out, but there's no slacking for a busy little girl like me. 

Today I ate almost every two hours!!!  Mommy and daddy figured out that if I start falling asleep while they're feeding me, all they have to do is have clumsy daddy try changing my diaper.  Old "ten thumbs" over there wakes me back up every time so mommy can feed me again.  Oh!  Speaking of thumbs, I have 2!  And eight other fingers and 10 other toes to go with.  I'm not sure if everyone knew that, so I thought I'd let them know.  I also have a head of dark hair that makes daddy jealous.  I usually have my stylin' hats on in photos, so I thought some of you might like to know that. 

The nurses were in and out all day checking on mommy and me for all the usual stuff.  Great Grandma and Grandpa Remiger stopped into visit before lunch time and just wouldn't put me down!  Well, except when other hospital people came and pried me out of Great Grandmas' hands.   And thank goodness that time never overlapped with Grandma Sander who just happened to be "working" today.  Or Aunt Emily who stopped by but never let my butt hit the bassinet.  Can you imagine the brawl that could have broken out?!  Ladies, Ladies, there's plenty of me to go around. 

The sound lady came and stuck some earplugs in my ears to check my hearing.  My right ear is just fine, but I have some fluids hanging around in my left ear.  It's no big deal, though.  A little back-of-the-ear massage from my parents or admirers will clear that up in no time. 

After the hearing lady came, it was time for my photo shoot.  I'm going to be a star!  The camera just loved me and I was following it and posing to my little heart's content.  I dare you to find a bad photo with my big, beautiful dark blue eyes.  Daddy's going to get another poll going to see which photos are everybody's favorites.
