Mommy and I left 3 days early to venture through Pennsylvania with Grandma and Grandpa. I drove through Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland to get to Huntington, PA. I believe we stopped in Kentucky the first night, but it was late and I can't remember. In Huntington is where we saw the "Heikes Covered Bridge". We then traveled on to Dillsburg, PA and saw my 7th great grandfather's grave. Lewistown, PA was out next stop to find a few more graves but we couldn't find them. We made our way up to State College, PA for some good pizza and slept for the night. We drove around Penn State's campus and had some Ice cream for breakfast at the creamery before taking off to Niagara Falls. We arrived at Niagara after lunchtime on Friday and the weather was very nice. I slept through most of it. We then headed all the way to Syracuse, NY for the night and met up with Daddy, Emma, Bob and Emily for dinner at Quaker Shake and Lube. Aunt Heather and Uncle Jordan's family joined us at the hotel a little after midnight. The next morning we made the last leg of the trip to York Harbor, ME. Traffic was horrible!! And if you're keeping track, I have now driven through Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
We spent the week in Maine eating great food, lounging on the beach, visiting Boston etc. Our family left a day early to surprise Nonna and Papa in Holland, MI. So, we took off for Michigan driving through the new states of Connecticut, Ohio and Michigan. Once again we hit traffic around Detroit and Lansing, ICK! We successfully surprised Nonna and Papa and got to visit with Aunt Jessie and Dan before taking off for home the next night. So back through Indiana and Illinois all the way to STL to arrive home at 3:30am, Sunday morning. Whew! What a trip!
And if you're counting, this 2 month old baby has now been in 14 states!! I'm pretty cool!
