Unfortunately, Emma will be attending her first funeral this week. Great Grandpa Sander passed away early this morning at 93 years of age. Lucky for Emma, she was able to briefly meet him on Saturday. We hope that Great Grandpa was able to hear her (as she was kinda fussy) as he was not feeling well. Emma had 8 great grandparents when she was born and has now met each of them. Unfortunately this was not under the best circumstances but we are grateful that she was able to see him.
We would also like to send out prayer to Emma's Great-Great Aunt Evelyn as she is in the hospital too. Emma met her on Christmas and went to go visit her at Barnes Jewish today. Hopefully she recovers quickly.
Now, onto some happier stories...
Bisnonna (Great-Grandma Remiger) has stolen Emma's heart. :) Emma spent the night there last Sunday night, Wednesday night, and Thursday night! Mommy and daddy didn't even know how to sleep without the baby at home. Below is a picture of Emma in her new swing at Bisnonna's house.
Emma is so in love with Bisnonna that when she starts to fuss at home, mommy reminds Emma when she will see Bisnonna next and Emma stops crying. It's priceless....Emma crying, mommy says "Don't worry Emma, you'll see bisnonna tonight, it's ok Emma", Emma stops and smiles.
Here is a picture with Bisnonna, Great Aunt Linda on the left and Great Aunt Cheryl on the right. Emma also got to meet her Great-Great Aunt Kathy, Great-Great Uncle Ken, & Great-Great Aunt Jane. She is meeting all kinds of extended family lately!
Emma also took a liking to her 1st cousin once removed, Carolyn. They were wearing matching outfits today!
Also, earlier this week, Aunt Emily got to babysit Emma all day by herself. Emma completely took advantage of Aunt Emily and had her feeding her every hour or so. Aunt Emily will soon learn the difference between hungry cry and tired cry :) They did get to make mommy and daddy some brownies, YUM!
Heather and Jordan are watching Emma all day tomorrow for the first time by themselves. Hope all goes well!
Now a quick tribute to Daddy and we'll write again soon!
Read my shirt!! :)
