Emma takes over

Now that I'm 3 months old, mommy has decided I'm "mature" enough to take over the blog.  Things are going to get real yo (yea, I'm not sure "ghetto" will be my choice of speak).  As my personality develops, I will try to mimic that through this blog.

Today I hung out with Aunt Emily and when we hang out, all we talk about is sports.  Illini this, Cardinals this, blah blah blah.  The only team I care about right now is the Cardinals because honestly, the Illini are awful!  I don't know what mommy and daddy are so proud of, academics?!   #3 daddy, not #1.  And come on mommy, #20, Michigan and Wisconsin both rank higher.  I better bleed orange or there's going to be some stiff competition!  On the bright side, tiger blood is not in my future. :)

I'm getting very excited for the Cardinals-Cubs game I get to attend on opening weekend.  It's Grandpa Heikes's 50th, (Yes, he's 50 and aging wonderfully), and we are all going as a family to celebrate.  I'm excited for some $8 beers, I mean milk.  I've got Cardinals gear from head to toe, literally, shoes to pacifiers, so I will absolutely be the best dressed person in the stadium!

Cheers to Mike Thomas for sacking Zook and Weber and prayers for better seasons next year.  I have low expectations because I was not alive in 2004-05 to see the Illini go all the way nor 2007 to see the Rosebowl.  I just ask that we make a decent bowl game and then the tournament.  Low expectations, low.  I'm not even asking for a win.
